The factory has a strong technical force,with about 300 technical personnel engaged in development, operation, management and production, among whom there are 26 senior engineers.It has a complete set of production devices and advanced technology. Apart from a conventional mechanic processing line and an electric assembly line, it also has advanced numerically-controlled punching machine, bending machine, tool machine, cutting equipment, powder electricity static plating line, SMT line and other inspection & testing equipment, including artificial climate room, large-scale IC test set, solderability test set, on-line test robot, etc. Altogether there are 505 sets of equipment and 600 instruments.

        At the beginning of 1990s, the Factory successively introduced the high-level EDA designing system from American Cadence Company and advanced manufacture technology and management methods from Motorola Company, thus making its technological and technical level step into a brand-new stage. From 1960s on, the Factory started manufacturing signal equipment developed by China.At the beginning of 1990s, it set up a modern production line for signal equipment and started to manufacture signal equipment in large scale and batches, using new technique and technology such as CAD and SMT. During this process, it gradually formed its own characteristics of signal products: new design, elegant appearance, advanced technology and stable quality. Its products are widely used in the railway market and other markets throughout China and is highly appraised by customers.With decades of rich experiences in the development & manufacture of communication & signal equipment, Shanghai Railway Communication Equipment Factory depends on this technical equipment and scientific management to supply large quantity of highly reliable products to customers of railway and other markets. At the same time as introducing advanced technology and management method from abroad, the Factory also trained a large team of competent talents with modern technical level and management knowledge. In 1998, the JT1 general cab signal equipment was awarded Exemplary New Product of Shanghai City and by China, as well as Customer- Trusting New Product of Shanghai City of 1998.We set a 24-hour service hotline to settle the customers' problems.
